Milan are leaving the player to make Italy decisions on his own...

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani will not get entangled in Alessandro Nesta's international future with Italy, saying it's a matter between Marcello Lippi and the defender.

There have been widespread calls for the stopper's return after he called time on his Italy career in 2006. Azzurri coach Lippi has left the door open, but he never made it clear as to whether Nesta would be a certainty for World Cup 2010.

Galliani has taken a step back from the issue, giving a liberal view.

"Nesta? He knows and so does Lippi," he told the press.

"Nesta is absolutely free to make his own choice. Milan will not come between them.

"It's down to Nesta to accept if a call arrives, and down to Lippi whether he picks him or not."

Reports in Il Corriere Della Sera claimed Ronaldinho had a party before the derby against Inter last month - a game Milan lost 2-0.

But the club were keen to keep comments regarding the allegations low-key.

"The relationship between Milan and their players remains within the club. I have no comments to make. Eventually these are internal matters for Milan to deal with," Galliani concluded.
