Adriano Galliani is in Spain to negotiate for Milan targets Royston Drenthe, Fernando Gago, Guti, Rafael van der Vaart and Luis Fabiano.

The Vice-President has flown to Madrid for tonight’s charity event, a match between the old glories of Milan and Real, including Zinedine Zidane and Billy Costacurta.

While there, the newspapers suspect he will get some business done too by negotiating some summer transfers.

With Jose Mourinho’s arrival, the Merengues will cut down their squad and bring in new faces, so Milan look set to have first pick of the left-overs.

These could include some genuine talents like Dutch international Drenthe, Argentine Guti, midfielder Gago and wide man van der Vaart.

Galliani’s contacts will not only be with Real Madrid, though, as the Corriere dello Sport claims new interest in Luis Fabiano.

The Rossoneri had already been very close to signing the Brazilian last summer, but baulked at the €20m price-tag and moved for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar instead.

Luis Fabiano turns 30 in November and has been at Sevilla since 2005, having also played for Ponte Preta, Rennes, Sao Paolo and Porto.

Another potential target is just across the border, as Milan are interested in Benfica defender David Luiz.

They already have a strong rapport with the Portuguese club, as their former player Manuel Rui Costa is the director general.
